Aspects of a good roof cleanup

Our Process for keeping your home clean and safe.

As your local NWA roofing company, we work hard to protect your home from the elements. But during a re-roof, your home really needs to be protected from your roofing contractor as well. Roofing is a messy and dangerous job. Here are the steps we take to make sure your home stays clean and undamaged.

1. Remove fragile items.

One of our team will walk around your property and look for any fragile items that might be damaged during the roofing process. The easiest way to protect your property is to move things out of the way if possible. Items like flower pots, patio furniture, and yard decorations will be temporarily moved to a safer area. Typically these items can be moved out onto the yard further from the house.

2. Installation of tarps and Catch-all netting.

Roofing is a messy job. Nails and debris will be landing in the yard no matter how carefully the roof is removed. We really want to make sure to leave your landscape clean and undamaged so we use a roofing specific netting system called the Catch-All. We are one of the only roofing companies in Northwest Arkansas that uses this system. It allows us to keep debris from ever hitting your grass or landscape.

3. Shingles sent directly to dump trailer.

We place a large dump trailer in the driveway right next to the house. This allows us to toss down the removed roof shingles without them ever needing to hit the ground. This speeds clean up and reduces the amount of debris that needs to be picked up by hand.

4. Meticulous hand cleanup after the job.

After your roof is complete our entire crew of roofers will do a detailed clean up of your property.  All debris and leftover materials will be removed. We use a blower to clear off and dirt or grit that we have gotten on your patios or sidewalks. Our NWA roofers all carry large magnetic sweepers. We will run the magnets through your yard and flower beds to pick up and last nails.

5. Final inspection

Every single one of our jobs gets a final inspection the day after your roof is finished. Out inspectors have high standards for the clean up. Your inspector will use a nail magnet to check for any nails and do a thorough walk around of the property.

Why Every Home Needs Gutter Guards Clean gutters are crucial to properly channeling rainwater away from your home. As any homeowner may attest to, they can quickly become full of leaves and debris, which not only looks bad visually but can cause damage to your home. Roofing companies in Northwest Arkansas suggest homeowners use gutter guards. Gutter guards are screens or covers that prevent the build-up of debris within gutters. Here are the top reasons every home needs gutter guards.
